The challenge
Every release added components nobody had agreed on, and nothing was ever removed.
Vellum had a component library in name only: a file everyone copied from and nobody owned. The same control existed in four sizes, none of them wrong.
We cut it to what is actually used, wrote down the few rules that decide the rest, and handed it over with the parts named the way the engineers already talk about them.
Outcome
New screens are assembled now rather than drawn.
The arguments about spacing are over.
